3G in Pakistan and 4G of Zong

After an interesting auction program by PTA for 3G licenses had ended which was held at Marriot Hotel Islamabad at yesterday. Both Zong and Mobilink got 10Mhz of each 3G spectrum while Zong achieved additional 10Mhz of 4G spectrum. Ufone and Telenor got 5Mhz of each.

The Auction by Pakistan Telecommunication Authority

The four Pakistani cellular networks (Mobilink, Ufone, Telenor, Zong) participated in the auction and they all received 3G licenses. On the other hand, both Ufone and Zong had presented their interest in 4G spectrum as well and since Ufone got only 5Mhz so it didn't qualify to meet the requirement and finally Zong won the 4G world for Pakistan and the same was the most interesting part of the entire auction program.

Introducing Pakistani 3G Cellular Networks

I have aligned a list of the winners as who got what in the following:

  • ZONG 10Mhz of broadband range both for 3G and 4G
  • MOBILINK 10Mhz of broadband range for 3G
  • UFONE 5Mhz of broadband range for 3G
  • TELENOR 5Mhz of boradband range for 3G

What the Pakistani Government Made Through This?

With the winning networks stated above, the government of Pakistan made $1.182 billion US dollars as $902.82 million from 3G and $210 million from 4G spectrum.

Words for the Ending

Enabling 3G/4G connectivity in smartphones and tablets is a big change specially for the tech savvy youth of Pakistan as they are power users of wireless data from downloading entertainment to playing online multi player games.

What is your opinion and words for the launch of 3G technology in Pakistan? Don't forget to share them in the comments below.

Twitter's New Desktop Interface Design

It happened to me at last night when I checked my Twitter profile and got surprised by its new user interface design. Yes, I am talking about Twitter’s new desktop version and the new UI is totally based on its Mobile app design.

Below is the screenshot of the new interface site design.

Screenshot of the Twitter’s new desktop version site design.

Although  there are many reasons why twitter stands as the world’s second most popular social network after the Facebook. As a designer, what I like is that the user interface development team of  Twitter always stay ahead to present the site’s Front-end as clean and sophisticated which seamlessly integrates with the entire site’s dynamic contents.

Here is an official tweet as an announcement from Twitter:

Perhaps some users will not have experiencing the new design but don’t worry it will be implemented at your end at some time just like mine. Or have you already started to experiencing the new interface? Don’t forget to share your thoughts in the comments below.

Ways To Proper Organizing Content on Pinterest

Ways To Proper Organizing Content on Pinterest

For last couple of years Pinterest has taken special attention as powerful visual bookmarking platform in the realm of Social Media. Now it is as simple as making an album of your favorite photos along with other collective albums in one place.

Today I am going to explain how you can leverage the benefit of organizing  your favorite contents on Pinterest by following the ways as below.

Make a Complete Profile

Why I mentioned the word “complete”  in the heading? Because  it is the case that most of the people doesn’t seriously consider when filling social media profiles .  Having a complete profile on Pinterest is the key to letting your visitors know you are a serious Pinner and not a photo collector who gathers his selfies all the time and save them in different albums, well Facebook is a good choice to do that.

Make Relevant Boards

It is the same as making a folder of your name that includes all of your selfies — photos. Don’t just name your board but provide all the relevant details including a short description of those pins that will be going inside of your newly created board and then select an appropriate category for example if you are bookmarking some paintings of popular artists then it must be go inside to the category of Arts and Design.

Update Your Boards

It is necessary to keep track of each of your Pinterest board to update because sometimes you forget to notice that someone had started following your certain board(s) and waiting to get next of your exciting pins, if you won’t update you will surely lose that follower or any other new follower will not come as same as Twitter.

Something For Pins

Lastly I would like to suggest you to post — pin not so wide but tall images  for instance an image of 600 by 1500 pixels and avoid to pin square format  and small dimensions of images which is not entertaining. Pinterest was built with mobile-first approach  it is the reason why tall images are so popular, take a look on a typical infographic.

Are you already organizing content  on Pinterest? Which one from the ways above inspired you to organize right away, give your feedback in the comment section below.

Basics of Blogging - How to Make Your 1st Blog Post Successful

If you are a beginner who wants to learn about initial steps of blogging before all then you have reached to the right place. Although this post is not only for beginners it is also a good companion for a typical blogger.

What is a Blog?

A blog is just like a notebook where the words fall from your mind in the shape of writing, you put your pieces of writings on it.

A blog post is like a topic which explains a particular piece of writing as what actually the current writing is about. Though there are many blogging platforms available nowadays but Blogger and WordPress are famous and very popular among them.

Blogging as Fun

Blogging is a fun you don't have to be a good writer it is not necessary to launch a blog, but you have to be open enough to share your thoughts to the digital world. You are on my blog right now and it is my first post as the current language isn't my native so you will definitely notice my English is not so good as it should be and may be few of my sentences are not making sense but I am still writing without having afraid. Basically blogging is about to share your thoughts through the words i.e. life experience, events, memories with your friends etc.

Find your Niche!

If you are good at something just like cooking, teaching, playing football or designing graphics just like me, just write about it.

Natural Ingredients of a Delicious Blog Post

  • Peace of Mind
  • Calm Atmosphere
  • Time as Required
  • Silence (or you could add some new music)
  • A cup of tea! It's optional :)

Take a quick review of your Blog Post

When done writing a post, have a look through your entire post. Here I am not talking about to sort out your grammatical mistakes but to correct spellings if you had mistaken and make sure you didn't miss a single word which you want to mention in your post. Reviewing is a good practice specially if you want to give attention to the details on the flow of your writing.

Tip: If you are writing on the fly via the post editor, copy all content and paste in word processor such as ms word all the mistakes will be automatically highlighted so you can easily correct grammar and spellings.

Share Your Post – Social Media

Have you listen that sentence before as "sharing is caring"? Well we all are living in a social media era and content sharing is the best part of it. The blogging is also a part of social media because we write a post and people leave comments and discussion goes on. As you are reading this post, many of you have come through the different social media channels such as Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn, Google+ etc., you got a link from one of these networks and so you are here. These are the major social networks which I have mentioned so don't forget to share your blog post in the same.

I hope I have introduced you very well about the basics of blogging as well as writing a successful blog post. Now you can start your very own blog and can write your first post, if you really enjoyed reading this article then share it with your friends and fellows. Happy blogging!
